Kampa is in a private, invite-only beta and changes most weeks. Each release gets a closer look on LinkedIn.

A card for each of your medications

Kampa now measures every substance you take on its own terms - how long each one holds, and how many of your own doses that measurement rests on. Sinemet and Mucuna Pruriens get separate cards, because they behave differently and averaging them together hides both.

The rule for whether a card exists is simply whether you take the substance - not whether medicine has decided it works. Traditional and unproven treatments are measured the same way as anything else.

Log a symptom in two taps

Constipation, fatigue, mood, and urinary symptoms, each with a severity, saved straight to Apple Health and marked on your timeline. Log one when it's present - a normal day needs no entry, so there's no daily checklist to keep up with.

Scan a package instead of describing it

Point the camera at a barcode and Kampa fills in the product and its nutrition. It searches 439,082 products in an 11.8 MB file bundled inside the app - no network call, nothing leaves your phone. Typing and voice still work; scanning is just the fastest door for anything that came in a wrapper.

Tap any number to see its history

Sleep and HRV on your daily summary are now doors. Tap one and it opens into its own history, with today marked against your own range so you can tell an unusual day from an ordinary one. Scrubbing the chart moves every panel together.

A sleep score that agrees with itself

One number for how you slept, computed one way, from your own baseline rather than a population average. The history behind it also loads roughly instantly now, rather than taking a few seconds every time you open the day.

What to expect today

Kampa runs your wearing-off curve forward from the doses you've logged and draws the likely shape of your day - your probable on and off windows - as a band right under your tremor chart. On a day without an active dose it shows your own typical range instead, and says so. A heads-up for planning the day ahead, never a dosing instruction.

Log gut symptoms by voice

Tap + and say it - "bloated after lunch," "nausea this morning." Kampa saves it to Apple Health and marks it on your timeline, so slow-digestion days sit alongside how your doses landed. Constipation and gut motility are among the most common non-motor patterns in Parkinson's.

Glucose, on the same timeline

Wear an over-the-counter glucose sensor - Abbott Lingo, Dexcom Stelo, no prescription - and Kampa reads it straight from Apple Health and draws your glucose curve in its own panel, time-aligned right under your tremor chart. Touch and hold anywhere and a crosshair sweeps every panel at once, so a dose, a meal, a tremor uptick, and a glucose swing all line up to the same minute. It works fully without a sensor, too.

In private beta

Kampa is running on real devices in a private TestFlight beta - passive tremor and dyskinesia tracking, dose correlation, and your day-ahead forecast, all on your own data. Access is invite-only for now; get in touch if you'd like to try it.

Log by voice

Speak a meal, a dose, or a mindfulness session and Kampa transcribes it on device, works out what you meant, and files it at the right time - even "last night at 9 PM." Food and mindfulness also work hands-free through Siri. Built for tremor-affected hands: no typing, no forms.

Dyskinesia, alongside tremor

Kampa now reads the full tremor distribution and the raw dyskinesia stream from Apple's Movement Disorder API - and draws both on the same timeline. Two motor signals, one chart, so you can see the whole picture of how a day moved.

A redesigned Apple Watch face

The Watch app gets a clean Kampa lockup and a live tremor sparkline - and the iPhone can now wake it to sync in the background, so your tremor data keeps flowing without opening anything.

Cross-day Insights

A new Insights view looks across weeks and months, not just today - surfacing longer-running patterns like medication response, wearing-off timing, and walking trends. Each comes with an honest confidence level and a clear "discuss with your neurologist" note. It only claims a pattern when the data actually supports it.

A pattern engine built for rigor

Behind the Insights view, Kampa analyzes dose-response by time of day, wearing-off windows, long-term gait trends, and food timing - and guards against confounds, so a meal doesn't get credit for what the medication actually did. When the signal isn't there, it stays quiet.

Neurologist-ready report

Export a clean, plain-language summary of your patterns as a PDF to bring to any appointment - your data, on your terms, ready to discuss with your care team.

Kampa enters private testing

Kampa reaches real devices beyond the builder's own, with a small, invitation-only group of testers.

Private cloud backup & restore

Your data backs up to your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit) and restores on a new device - lose or replace your phone and your history isn't gone. On-device first; you stay in control of what it's ever used for.

See exactly what's stored

A new in-app Backup view shows every record type, count, and date range Kampa holds on your device - plus one-tap CSV export of everything.

Kāmpa, named

The app takes its name and identity: Kāmpa, from Kampavata - the Ayurvedic term for the tremor disorder now called Parkinson's.
