Apple Movement Disorder API

Movement intelligence for Parkinson's.

No two people experience Parkinson's the same way. Kampa passively monitors your tremor and dyskinesia through Apple Watch, correlates every dose, meal, workout, and night of sleep, and surfaces the patterns that are true for you - so you can adjust your life around what actually affects you.

What Kampa watches

Built around your Apple Watch.
Correlated against everything.

Most health apps ask you to do the work. Kampa does the watching - continuously, quietly, without interruption. Nothing to wear beyond the watch you already own, and no session to start.

📈

Tremor & dyskinesia, all day

Apple's Movement Disorder API reads both signals continuously in the background. Your wrist shows the latest reading and the shape of the day; syncing takes care of itself.

💊

Medication correlation

Tracks what happens to your movement after every dose - when it kicks in, how long it holds, when it wears off. Each medication measured on its own history.

🎙️

Log by voice

Sleep, HRV, workouts and daylight arrive from Apple Health on their own. A meal or a dose takes one spoken sentence, by voice or a tap - for hands that shake.

Observations & Insights

Each day read back in plain language, no dashboard to interpret. Across weeks, Insights surfaces the longer patterns - each with an honest confidence level.

The app

Real data. Real patterns.

One real day in Kampa - Monday, June 29. Nothing staged, nothing simulated. This is what the app actually recorded.

Tremor & dyskinesia - one real day, one timeline Every dose and meal, marked where it happened
Kampa chart for Monday June 29 showing the blue tremor line active through the morning and the coral dyskinesia line near zero, with medication and food events marked

Both motor signals on one chart. Today, dyskinesia barely registered - Kampa still catches the small upticks it did find, around 11 AM and 5 PM.

Food

Meals, ready to correlate

A meal, a dose, a mindfulness session - the things you note yourself, you just say. Kampa transcribes on device, works out what you meant, and files it at the right time. Even "last night at 9 PM" lands on the right day.

Constipation, fatigue, mood and urinary symptoms, each with a severity, saved to Apple Health and marked on your timeline. Log one when it's present - a normal day needs no entry.

Today's forecast

What to expect today - before it happens.

Kampa learns how your doses actually play out - when each one kicks in, how long it holds, when it fades - then runs the rest of your day forward: the ON windows when you're steady, and the ones where you're likely to wear off.

Not a textbook drug curve. Each medication is timed from your own history. And when no dose is active, it stops projecting windows and shows your typical range instead - always saying which it's doing.

It is a pattern to plan around and bring to your neurologist, never a dosing instruction.

Kampa's Today's forecast panel: a banded timeline in blue and red above the line 'Your last dose is past its expected window - expect around your usual level: Mild, generally Slight to Mild', with a legend reading ON / usual or better, worse than usual, and no watch data

Glucose

On the same timeline.

Wear an over-the-counter glucose sensor - Abbott Lingo, Dexcom Stelo, no prescription - and Kampa reads it straight from Apple Health, drawing your glucose curve in its own panel, time-aligned right under your tremor chart.

Touch and hold anywhere, and a crosshair sweeps every panel at once - a dose, a meal, a tremor uptick, an ON/OFF forecast window, and a glucose swing all line up to the same minute. Collapse a panel when you want fewer signals in view. Kampa works fully without a sensor, too.

Movement check & therapy

Two things worth asking you for.

Almost everything in Kampa is passive. These are the two exceptions, and both earn it.

A movement check is a short trial you start yourself, taken the same way every time - which is the one thing all-day sensing cannot do. It reports raw quantities against your own usual range: never a score, never a grade.

There are six, covering both the slowness and the tremor a neurologist checks for by hand. A watch measures tremor all day, but it is worn on one wrist and gives back a single number - so it cannot tell tremor at rest from the kind that only shows up when you hold a position. These can.

Therapy logging puts physiotherapy, PEMF, acupuncture or anything else you're trying on the same timeline as your doses and sleep. Kampa shows what its data holds around each session - and won't tell you whether it worked.

Insights

The patterns you'd never spot yourself.

A single day shows what happened. Across weeks and months, the Insights view surfaces the longer patterns - how your medication really performs, when wearing-off tends to hit, how your walking is trending - each with an honest confidence level, and only when the data actually supports it.

Kampa's Insights list: dose coverage and mobility findings marked Strong, separate Moderate cards measuring Mucuna Pruriens and Sinemet, and an Emerging card reporting that caffeine sits inside normal daily variation
Ranked by confidence Emerging, Moderate or Strong - and the label is earned, not decorative.
Every medication measured separately Each substance gets its own card and its own numbers, because averaging two drugs together hides both. Whether a card exists depends on whether you take it - not on whether medicine has ruled on it.
Counted against your own doses "Measured on 160 of your own 252 doses" - you can always see how much data sits behind a claim.
It will tell you when there's nothing there Caffeine comes back as "inside your usual daily variation" - the app's own way of saying it found nothing. A finding of no effect is still a finding, and Kampa reports it rather than inventing a pattern.

Your health, your data

Privacy isn't a feature.
It's the architecture.

The data Kampa handles is about as personal as it gets - continuous movement, tremor, sleep, heart rate. For a neurological condition, that can reveal how your day went, whether your medication is working, even how things are changing over time. Data this personal should stay under your control - so Kampa keeps it on your device, backed up to your own private iCloud. Read the full privacy policy.

📱

Processed on your device

Everything Kampa records is processed and stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch first. Your health data starts and stays with you.

☁️

Your own private iCloud

Backup runs through your personal private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit), under your account. No Kampa account to create, no Kampa server.

🔍

Nothing hidden

The app shows you exactly what's stored - every record type, count, and the full date range. Lose your phone? Reinstall and it all comes back.

🔒

Never sold, always yours

Kampa will never sell or share your health data - not with advertisers, data brokers, or researchers. You control what it's ever used for.

What's coming

Already built. More on the way.

The foundation is running. The roadmap builds toward a complete picture of how Parkinson's moves through a life.

Up next
Without an Apple Watch

A watch is the one thing Kampa asks you to own, and most people with Parkinson's don't. The six movement checks, your medication record, food, symptoms and the insights drawn from them all run on the phone alone. Next they become a version that says so plainly - fewer signals, and honest about which ones are missing, rather than a version that feels broken.

Roadmap
Guided experiments

Turn a pattern into a test. Kampa proposes a hypothesis from your own data - "does a later first dose steady your mornings?" - then labels the days and reads back a verdict.

Roadmap
Ask your data

A question in plain language - "how does a late first dose land?" - understood on your phone and answered by the same engine that draws the cards. The engine still decides what is true; language is only the way in.
