Guide

Can I track Parkinson's with just my iPhone, no Apple Watch?

Yes. On iPhone alone, Kampa shows your walking speed, steps and steadiness, runs six short movement checks, uses the doses you log to show how your movement changes around a dose, and reads sleep and heart-rate variability from Apple Health. What you will not have is the all-day tremor and dyskinesia record - that comes only from an Apple Watch.

Kampa's Review screen in iPhone-only mode: walking speed, steps, sleep score and HRV above a movement checks panel with each check's latest left and right results, then a timeline of logged doses

What you get on iPhone alone

The Review screen says iPhone-only, so you always know which mode you are in.

What a watch adds

Passive, all-day tremor and dyskinesia sensing from Apple's Movement Disorder API. Any Apple Watch from Series 4 on watchOS 10 works, including a Series 5 or a first-generation SE. If you add one later, it joins the same timeline - nothing starts over.

Checks are not a daily chore

There is no schedule and nothing to fall behind on. A handful of checks spread over time is worth more than one taken carefully, and Kampa asks for the check and the moment your record has least of.
